Philip Mar, DVM

Dr. Philip Mar is a Los Angeles native who earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences before completing a rotating internship at Veterinary Medical and Surgical Group (VMSG) in Ventura.

He has a special interest in emergency medicine and soft tissue surgery and is known for his compassionate approach, gentle bedside manner, and dedication to helping pets and their families feel supported during every visit. Dr. Mar believes in building trust through clear communication, empathy, and high-quality medical care, whether he is treating a routine illness or a critical emergency. 

Outside of the hospital, he enjoys spending time with his three cats, exploring California’s scenic coastline, and appreciating all things automotive.
